Packaging Design

Hero Presentation

Developed for Extra Cash & Carry / Best Catering, this project formed part of the premium Diyos Collection range, created to position selected products above the standard Diyos line. The objective was to design packaging that communicates quality, authenticity and Mediterranean heritage while maintaining a clean, premium appearance suitable for both retail shelves and foodservice environments.

Unlike the colourful countryside illustrations used throughout the standard Diyos range, the Collection identity adopts a more refined visual language. A deep navy central panel, vibrant olive green background and bright yellow border create strong contrast while reinforcing the premium positioning of the brand. Together with elegant handwritten typography and realistic olive illustrations, the design immediately communicates the product's natural origin and superior quality.

Brand Identity

The project also included the development of the Diyos Collection logo, designed as an extension of the existing Diyos brand while establishing a distinct premium identity.

The geometric typography from the original logo was retained to preserve brand recognition, while the addition of the "Collection" signature introduces a more sophisticated character. A subtle olive oil drop descending from the lettering becomes a memorable brand element, symbolising the product itself without relying on unnecessary decorative graphics.

Throughout the packaging, the logo works alongside the central label architecture to create a consistent visual system that can easily expand across future premium products within the Collection range.

Label Design

The front label was developed around a tall arched composition that naturally complements the proportions of the bottle while creating a strong focal point on the shelf.

A realistic olive branch illustration becomes the hero element of the design, framed within a dark navy panel to maximise contrast and draw attention. The surrounding olive-green background incorporates subtle botanical patterns, adding depth without distracting from the central artwork. Bright yellow borders reference the rich colour of olive oil itself while creating excellent visibility from a distance.

The result is a label that balances modern minimalism with traditional Mediterranean influences, presenting the product as both premium and approachable.

Production Artwork

Bottle Label

The complete production artwork was prepared for a 1L PET bottle label measuring 120 × 145 mm, incorporating all technical specifications required for commercial production.

The artwork integrates nutritional information, ingredient declarations, barcode, recycling symbols, best-before information and mandatory legal content into a clean, structured layout that remains secondary to the front branding. Particular attention was given to maintaining clear visual hierarchy while ensuring every production element complied with print requirements.

Logo Development

Alongside the packaging, the project included the production-ready artwork for the Diyos Collection logo in both positive and negative colour variations.

The logo was designed to remain highly legible across different packaging materials and backgrounds while maintaining consistent proportions and spacing. Delivering multiple production versions allows the identity to be applied seamlessly across labels, cartons, marketing materials and future packaging formats throughout the Collection range.

Production Ready Packaging

The final artwork combines premium branding with technically accurate production preparation, resulting in packaging that performs equally well on the shelf and during manufacture.

Every component of the label was prepared according to commercial print specifications, including bleed, cutter tolerances, typography, colour consistency and artwork positioning around the bottle geometry. By combining strong brand identity with production precision, the project demonstrates the complete workflow from concept development through to finished FMCG packaging ready for mass production.
