Catalogue Design
Cover Design
Developed for 6868 Food Services, this 92-page catalogue showcases 323 products across a wide range of foodservice categories. The cover was designed to immediately communicate the company's industry while maintaining a clean and modern appearance. A bold typographic composition places "FOOD" at the centre of the layout, allowing the product photography to interact naturally with the lettering and create depth without sacrificing readability.
The black background, framed with subtle gold accents, reinforces a premium feel while drawing attention to the company's signature red and blue branding. Large product photography immediately identifies the catalogue's purpose, creating a strong first impression before the customer even opens the first page.
Editorial Layout
Following the cover, the catalogue opens with an About Us section introducing the company, followed by a comprehensive contents page that allows customers to quickly locate individual product categories throughout the publication.
The editorial layout was carefully structured to improve navigation across all 92 pages. Every product category follows a consistent grid system while alternating between light grey and soft yellow page backgrounds. Rather than using colour purely for decoration, this approach creates visual landmarks, allowing customers to associate entire sections with a particular colour and making the catalogue easier to browse.
The section headers alternate between red and dark blue, reflecting the corporate colours of 6868 Food Services while clearly separating one category from the next. This creates rhythm throughout the publication and helps prevent long product listings from feeling repetitive.
Product Presentation
With over 323 individual products, consistency became one of the project's biggest priorities. Every page was designed around a modular grid that allows products to be displayed clearly while maintaining visual balance across the entire catalogue.
Product photography, pricing, product codes and descriptions were organised using a consistent hierarchy, enabling customers to compare products quickly without unnecessary visual clutter. The layout was designed not only for aesthetics but also for practical usability, ensuring the catalogue functions as an effective sales tool for both existing and new customers.
Marketing Design
Promotional Posters
Alongside the catalogue itself, a collection of promotional posters was created to support featured brands and key products throughout the publication.
Many of these campaigns focused on Peppier, one of 6868 Food Services' own brands. Products such as Peppier Baked Beans, Peppier Tortilla, sauces, dressings and beverages were presented using custom promotional visuals that extended the branding beyond the packaging itself. Since I also designed the packaging for several of these products, the posters maintain complete visual consistency between the product on the shelf and its supporting marketing materials.
Additional promotional campaigns were produced for seasonal offers, supplier collaborations and featured product ranges, helping transform the catalogue from a simple product list into a complete sales and marketing publication.
Production Artwork
Print-Ready Artwork
The complete catalogue was prepared for commercial printing, including all 92 pages, cover artwork and supporting marketing materials. Every page was supplied with production-ready artwork, ensuring accurate typography, image resolution, bleed settings and colour consistency throughout the publication.
Managing a project of this scale required careful organisation to maintain consistency across 323 products, while ensuring every update, product code and pricing change remained accurate. The final result combines editorial design, catalogue production and print-ready artwork into a single publication that serves both as a product reference and an effective sales tool for the foodservice industry.
